Edwin Liava'a has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer for the Tonga Post Limited (TPost) for a four-year term effective from 24 February, 2026.

Liava'a brings over 20 years of leadership experience across the Pacific Islands region, delivering tailored GIS and ICT solutions and strengthening institutional capacity.

He has served as a Technical Advisor on submarine cable and satellite communications, supporting national connectivity and security initiatives. A strong advocate for open and sustainable technologies, he has led regional outreach, training, and systems development initiatives to enhance digital resilience and utility services.

Upon accepting this appointment, the Ministry of Public Enterprises stated today that Mr. Liava'a has resigned from his position as Chairman of Tonga Cable Limited.
