First nomination for Prime Minister lodged with Interim Speaker [1]

The first nomination for Prime Minister Designate was received on 4 December by the the Interim Speaker, Lord Tangi ‘o Vaonukonuka.

“Further written nominations for Prime Minister Designate may continue to be lodged until 4.30pm on Friday 12 December 2025,” his office advised today.

The details of the nomination will be revealed by the Interim Speaker, in the presence of Elected Representatives at the meeting to be convened for the election of the Prime Minister Designate, after the closing of nominations.
