The seven Miss Heilala contestants showcased captivating and entertaining talents last night, 2 July, during the first show of the three-night pageant, at the Tonga High Stadium in Nuku’alofa.

The contestants came out to a house full with a cheerful and energetic crowd. Each contestant received enthusiastic cheers from their supporters, with Miss Tongatapu 2 and Miss S&S USA, generating the rowdiest responses with their performances.

Miss Lady Maria Australia, Anna-Li Pisa Tanuvasa Chou-Lee, took the audience on a journey of cultural celebration with a Samoan siva, a Tahitian dance, and a traditional Aboriginal dance, paying tribute to the Aboriginal people of Australia, where she resides.

Miss Pangaimotu Island, Siosi’ana Taumoepeau, presented a storytelling performance that combined spoken word, contemporary movement, and drumming, reflecting her journey back to Tonga to connect with her roots.

Miss Tongatapu 2, Fugaau Elizabeth Amanaki Mafi, showcased Tongan drumming, specifically the beating of the ma'ulu'ulu drums.

Miss Ha’apai Masani, Ati Liliani ‘Olie performed a Samoan siva, concluding with a Tongan tau'olunga dance.

Miss S&S USA, Sinivia Tu’avao delivered a high-energy fusion of Tahitian and Latin dance.

Miss Current of Love Charity Vava’u, Talita Fainga’a, presented a powerful spoken poetic narrative exploring the complexities of being a Tongan youth.

Miss Tika Way Creations, Malia Toatepi Tonga’uiha, performed a short presentation depicting the "no'o'anga" used in Tongan shark hunting.

The top three talents will be announced during the finale on Friday, 4 July.

The winner of the best talent will receive $1000 pa'anga, the first runner-up $700, and second runner-up $500.
