Three men from Vaini were arrested during a recent Tonga Police Drugs Squad operation. Authorities seized drug-related utensils and cannabis, among other items.

In one operation, responding to reliable information received, the Drugs Squad seized two test tubes and five empty packets. A 54-year-old man from Vaini was arrested, and remains in custody while investigations are ongoing.

On the same day, the Drugs Squad searched a bush allotment in Vaini and this led to the seizure of one pack of cannabis weighing 304.23 grams, cannabis leaves weighing 5.30 grams, two bottle bongs, one test tube, and two bottles containing air gun bullets. As a result of this operation, two suspects aged 42 and 28, from Vaini were arrested, and both remain in custody while investigations continue.

Tonga Police urged the public to report any information related to illegal drug activities.
