New classroom for GMS Popua [1]

A new classroom for GMS Popua was commissioned yesterday, 25 February, by the Ambassador of Japan to Tonga, HE Inagaki Hisao.

The classroom was constructed with grant of USD $73,300 from Japan's Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).

Ambassador Inagaki expressed his hope that "our GGP, including today's project, will continue to play an important role in building stronger and more resilient societies in this Kingdom, and that the warm and close friendship between Japan and Tonga will continue to be enriched by our cooperation.”

This marks the second classroom built for GMS Popua through Japan's GGP, with the first constructed in 2004.
