MP Johnny Taione charged on forgery and fraud allegations [1]

A member of parliament, Hon. Johnny Taione appeared in the Magistrate's Court in Tongatapu on Monday, 2 September, on charges related to allegations of forgery and fraud.

In a statement today, Tonga Police said they had arrested Taione, the Tongatapu People's Representative no. 8 on Tuesday, 20 August.

The accused has been granted conditional bail until his next court appearance on Monday, 11 November 2024.
