Tongan students graduate from Chinese Universities [1]

Eight Tongan students have completed their studies and graduated from various universities in China in the past academic year.
The Tongan Embassy in China stated that there were over 50 Tongan students in China for the past academic year 2023/2024.
“They are very grateful for the continuous support and funding from the Government of the People’s Republic of China that enabled these students to further their studies. This opportunity not only benefits these students personally in advancing their knowledge, it ultimately helps in uplifting the country's economy when they return home after completing their studies.”
Graduates:
- Th eight graduates are Peni Hausia Havea (‘Eua, Fahefa, Kanokupolu, Niuatoputapu), PhD in Climate Change and Climate system/Senior Visiting Scholar from Nanjiing University of Information Science and Technology.
- Kati Ofahengaue Tuihalangie (Kolomotu’a, Tatakamotonga, Hofoa), Master’s degree in Economics from Renin University in China.
- Percilla Halaevalu Fonongavainga Osika (Tatakamotonga), Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Beijing Foreign Studies of University.
- Emalata Victoria Junior Mafua (Puke, Folaha), Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Shenyang Ligong University.
- Rebecca Kumuni He Fonua Mafua (Puke, Folaha), Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery.
- Makeleta Malia Luisa Siasau (Fungamisi, Vava’u), Bachelor’s in Chinese Language from Beijing University of International Studies.
- Xiao Li Chung Chen (Nakolo), Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Shanghai University.
- Liliani Veikoso (Vaini Lapaha), Bachelor’s degree in Management/Tourism Management from Central China Normal University.
