Tofua volcano monitoring continues [1]

The Tofua volcano monitoring continues, with Tonga Geological services (TGS) reporting today, 13 May, that four jump events were recorded since the last report yesterday morning, with the most recent event at 05:46 AM.
The recent monitoring data as seen by the satellite indicated a series of low thermal anomalies at Tofua volcano. There was no volcanic ash cloud detected in the last 24 hours, based on satellite images.
Meanwhile, Tofua volcano poses low risk to Vava'u and Ha'apai, TGS stated.
Alerts
TGS issued a hazard alert for all Mariners, to sail beyond 1.08 nautical miles from Tofua Volcano, with a yellow ACC alert to the Aviation community.
Meanwhile, a green alert remains to all residents of Vava'u and Ha’apai.
Tofua is located 76.1 km west of Pangai, Ha'apai at Latitude & Longitude 19.75°S, 175.0?°W.
Monitoring of the eruption is ongoing with daily notices issued on the status of the eruption.
