Seventh-day Adventist global President makes first visit to Tonga [1]

The global President of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Pastor Ted N. C Wilson and his wife Nancy, arrived in Tonga today, 13 May for a three day visit to conduct local services..
It is the first visit to Tonga by President Wilson who has been the global President of the church for 24 years. He was the son of a church minister. His father, also a global President, visited Tonga 35 years ago.
Members of the local mission welcomed President Wilson and his wife, Nancy, at Beulah College, in Vaini. He was scheduled to have an audience with the King Tupou VI later today, at the Royal Palace.
They will hold a “Tonga for Christ” prayer breakfast on Tuesday morning at the Taufa'ahau Tupou IV Domestic Wharf, with the presence of Queen Nanasipau'u.
The Tonga mission will be marching tomorrow morning, 14 May, from Mangaia to the Royal Palace, where President Wilson will make his first preaching to the Nation at Pangai.
Ted N.C. Wilson was elected as President of the Seventh-day Adventist world church in July 2010, during the General Conference Session in Atlanta.
