Crown Prince attends Second Japan Pacific Islands Defense Dialogue (JPIDD) [1]

HRH Crown Prince Tupouto’a 'Ulukalala led a seven-member delegation to the second Japan Pacific Islands Defense Dialogue (JPIDD), held in Tokyo from 19-20 March 2024.
During his visit, Japan’s Defence Minister Kihara paid a courtesy call on Crown Prince Tupouto’a and discussed further defence cooperation with Tonga.
Crown Prince Tupouto'a joined a cultural tour through the Hama-rikyu Gardens and Tokyo Tower and was the guest of honour at a dinner hosted by State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. TSUGE Yoshifumi
H.E. Mr. Inagaki Hisao, Ambassador of Japan to Tonga, accompanied the Crown Prince to the dialogue in the interest of strengthening of relations between Tonga and Japan.
The seven-member delegation included the Deputy Chief of Defence Staff-HMAF, Captain Sione Ulakai.
