Sefanaia Palelei of Halaleva has been identified as the shooter in the killing of Nuku'alofa businesswoman Mosimani Helu (50) at her home in Kolofo'ou yesterday, January 21.

Palelei killed himself with the same gun, thought by witnesses to be a .22 rifle.

The Tonga Police have not released any details of Palelei's age and his motive, and have not indicated whether not there will be an ongoing inquiry into the deaths.

A family member expected that the funeral of Mosimani will be held this weekend, as some of her children are residing overseas. Mosimani's body was transported from the hospital to her home yesterday after she was declared dead.

She is survived by her husband Saimone and eight children, five boys and three girls. The eldest is in his 30's while the youngest is still in High School.
