Police seize 15kg meth in raids on home and office [1]

Over 15kg of illicit drugs, allegedly methamphetamine, was seized by the Tonga Police drugs squad over the weekend in two raids on a house at Kolofo'ou and an office.
Two members of a family, a 39-year old male and his 37-year-old sister were arrested at the family residence on Saturday night, 10 February, together with 5.73kg of methamphetamine, under the operation code-named Operation Feke.
“A further 9.927kg of methamphetamine was seized by Police following a search of the male suspect’s office on Sunday, 11 February 2024,” Tonga Police reported today
The two suspects are currently in police custody, scheduled to appear in the Magistrate’s Court at 2:00pm today.
Police investigations into the drug bust are continuing.
