Tourists were spotted cycling around the CBD and coastal shorelines of Nuku’alofa on rented bicycles, after the Europa 2, the second cruise ship to Tongatapu for this year, docked at Vuna Wharf.

Europa 2 arrived today, 31 January at 8:00am and departed at 5:00pm.

The ship carries a total of 770 people, a majority of which are German, (358 crew members and 412 passengers).

They arrived in Nuku’alofa after visiting Rarotonga, Cook Islands. The cruise continues from Tongatapu to Lautoka, Fiji.

Tonga CEO of tourism, Viliami Takau had told Matangi Tonga that bicycling will be one of the new services provided to tourists this year.
