Tongan seniors and about 50 needy families received care packages over the festive season from the Queen’s Charity, supported by donors from the business community.

Christina Heng, Country Manager-Tonga at Swire Shipping, said they organized a Charity Drive in partnership with the Queen’s Charity, to help support needy seniors and their families in Tonga.

“The collaborative effort successfully delivered two care packages to each family. These thoughtfully curated packages were packed by Swire Shipping’s employees and filled with essential items like crackers, noodles, soap, toilet paper, and mosquito coils – essentials chosen to help ease the daily burdens faced by these families…We hope these care packs bring them some warmth and joy during this festive time,” she said.

Donors included local businesses, Amart Enterprises Ltd., East Department Co. Ltd, Eastern Raise Enterprise Ltd. (agent for FMF), Harmony Enterprises Ltd., Jia Hui Electronics Co. Ltd., Ml style, Molisi Trading Ltd., New Era Enterprises Ltd., Payless USA, Punjas Tonga Ltd., Sandy’s Daily Necessities Ltd., Sunshine Co. Ltd., Superbrat Co. Ltd., Tong Hua Co. Ltd., Treasure Box Tonga Co. Ltd, and Victory Co. Ltd.
