Matron to meet Health Minister to review nurses petition today [1]

Vaiola Hospital Matron, Sr Akesa Halatanu, will meet again with the Minister of Health Hon. Dr. Saia Piukala, today, to look at a nurses petition that was submitted to the Palace Office yesterday, in a protest to increase the nurses salary.

Matron Akesa, who led the protest, told Matangi Tonga that she could not disclose the details in the petition, because she is to meet with the Minister today to reveiw the petition.

"There might be changes before the Minister submits it to the Cabinet," she said this morning before the meeting.
