The tsunami-damaged ‘Ohonua Police Station on 'Eua, reopened last week on 13 December, after major renovations following the HTHH disaster in January 2022.

Police Commissioner, Shane McLennan cut the ribbon to reopen the station and thanked all the parties involved in the restoration, which was funde by Government.

Prior to this the officers and staff of the ‘Ohonua Police Station had been operating from the police sub-station at Angaha village since the tsunami.

A total of 12 police officers are stationed on the island of ‘Eua.
