Tonga Public holidays confirmed for 2024 [1]

There will be nine days of Public Holidays in Tonga for 2024, the Prime Minister's Office confirmed today.
The Tonga Public Holidays for 2024 start off with four international holidays observed on their actual dates: New Year’s Day on Monday 1 January, Good Friday on 29 March, Easter Monday on 1 April, and ANZAC Day on Thursday 25 April.
The Emancipation day on 4 June will be observed a day early, on Monday, 3 June.
Other Tongan national holidays observed on their actual dates include the Official Birthday of HM King Tupou VI on Thursday 4 July; the Birthday of HRH Crown Prince Tupoto’a ‘Ulukalala on Tuesday 17 September, and Constitutional Day on Monday 4 November.
King Tupou I Day on 4 December will be observed two days early, on Monday, 2 December.
Lastly, Christmas Day on Wednesday 25 December, and Boxing Day on Thursday 26 December, will be observed on their actual dates.
Public Service holidays
The Public Service will have a two weeks period of Christmas vacation, on dates to be approved by Cabinet. The vacation will be followed by the usual Week of Prayer of the New Year, with the Public Service working hours ending at 4:00pm.
