Pacific Explorer returns to Nuku'alofa [1]

Nuku’alofa greeted thousands of new faces arriving on the returning cruise ship, the Pacific Explorer which docked at Vuna Wharf today, 11 August.
The Pacific Explorer arrived at 9:00am with a total of 3,272 people, (2,401 passengers and 871 crew).
The Ministry of Tourism stated that a majority of the passengers are New Zealanders and Australians.
Cafes, restaurants, bars and handicraft stands were seen packed with tourists engaging in different activities.
The ship was expected to depart from Nuku’alofa to Neiafu, Vava’u, at 6:00pm and to reach the Port of Refuge at 8:00am tomorrow, 12 August.
After spending 13 hours at Neiafu, the ship will then depart for Suva, Fiji.
