Tonga Catholic youth joined World Youth Day in Portugal [1]

Tonga Catholic youth joined thousands of other youth members of the Catholic Church, in Lisbon, Portugal, celebrating World Youth Day which started from 1 to 6 August.

It was the largest ever gathering in Lisbon, summed up to over 1.5 million young catholics who filled the capital.

Pope Francis hosted the celebrations, including hundreds of other Priests from all over the world, with the theme, “Mary arose with haste."

The next World Youth Day was announced by the Pope to take place in Seoul, South Korea in 2027.
