China donates bus to transport of Tonga Fire recruits [1]

A new bus was handed over to the Tonga Fire and Emergency Services to be used to transport its newest recruits.

Donated by the Chinese Embassy, the bus was handed over to Fire and Emergency Services Commissioner Tu'ihalamaka and the Acting Secretary to Cabinet by delegates from the Chinese Embassy, on 19 July.

“For many years, transportation has been an issue for our newest recruits, however, this latest donation will not only help our recruits travel more efficiently but can assist our Public Awareness Team with services towards the community,” stated Tonga Fire who extended their gratitude to the Chinese Embassy.
