Evangelists offer prayer of forgiveness for 16/11 [1]

Nuku'alofa, Tonga

Friday, November 16, 2007 - 19:33.  Updated on Sunday, June 15, 2014 - 18:16.

Rev. Tevita Tapueluelu led prayers of forgiveness.

Prayers of forgiveness were offered today by the Free Wesleyan Church Evangelical group in a special prayer service reflecting on the destruction in Nuku'alofa one year ago today, November 16.

Led by Dr Tevita Tapueluelu, the Director of the FWC Evangelical group, forgiveness was a theme offered in a hope that the people of Tonga will forgive each other and move forward. The evangelical group smartly dressed in white performed moving skits and actions songs to around 50 people who gathered at the vacant site of the Tungi Arcade that was destroyed in the fires last year.

Latu Malungahu and other church members join the prayers.
