A fully equipped mobile dental clinic, supported by the Rotary Club of Ballarat West, was handed over to the Minister for Health Hon. Saia Piukala, at Vaiola Hospital, Nuku’alofa on 7 July.

The mobile dental clinic will soon begin visiting schools and communities across Tongatapu, and is expected to make a big difference to the accessibility of dental services in Tonga, stated Australia in Tonga.

'It is great to see this fantastic, long-term partnership with the Ministry of Health, which began in 1996 further strengthened.'

The Victorian state government dental service has offered to provide AUD$50,000 in supplies over five years, and to fund a staff exchange program.
