Support grants are available for Tonga businesses [1]

The Business Link Pacific’s (BLP) support grants was launched by the Tonga Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc (TCCI) and the New Zealand Government on 10 July, inNuku’alofa Tonga.
The grants aim to stimulate growth, innovation, access to finance, and investment in social inclusion and climate action for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs).
BLP is a private sector development programme funded by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) and delivered by DT Global.
President of TCCI Sam Vea, said the partnership with the New Zealand Government for the support grants, represented their commitment to help businesses in Tonga to invest in and grow their operations and to drive sustainable economic growth.
New Zealand High Commissioner to Tonga, Matthew Howell said, “SMEs are key to inclusive economic development in Tonga, and we encourage SMEs of all shapes and sizes to apply for a Business Support Grant”.
Director of BLP Steve Knapp said the new business support grants will empower local businesses in Tonga to drive innovation, foster growth, and tackle critical challenges like climate resilience.
“BLP strongly encourages applications from women, youth, and community-led businesses.”
BLP in Tonga is coordinated by the Tonga Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
