Salote said the team and all those that are behind Tala are ready to head into the World Cup embracing it as our first time experience.
“A lot of work and effort by many has gone into this campaign to qualify and now to actually be heading to the World Cup. The team are excited but mindful they are there to put Tonga's best foot forward on the international scene of netball, representing a proud nation of Tongans world wide praying and supporting Tala.”
On 14 June, a strong team was announced by Tonga Netball as it prepares for Tonga's first ever World Cup campaign.
Tala has had a remarkable journey, when it not only claimed its third PacificAus Netball Series in April this year, but moved Tonga's ranking up to 7th in the world.
