New boat for Vava'u [1]

A new boat was handed over to the Governor of Vava’u Lord Fakatulolo to support the government's outreach programs and activities on the outer island, on 23 June.

Donated by the Minsitry of Fisheries, the boat was presented by the CEO of the Ministry of Fisheries, Dr Tu'ikolongahau Halafihi, during an event at the Halaevalu Wharf in Neiafu.

Lord Fakatulolo who named the boat 'Lusia ki Mokotu' said the boat will be used to assist the government ministries outreach services on the outer island.

It will also be made available for all the ministries' works and sea transportation, he said.

Attending the program were staff from the Governor’s office and from the Ministry of Fisheries.
