CEO of the Ministry of Public Enterprises re-appointed [1]

Sione ‘Akau’ola has been re-appointed as Chief Executive Officer for the Ministry of Public Enterprises.

He signed his contract and took his oath before the Prime Minister Hon. Hu’akavameiliku, who is also Acting Minister for Public Enterprises, witnessed by members of the Commission for Public Service on 26 June. 

'Akau'ola joined the public service in 1999 as an Assistant Secretary in the then Establishment Division of the Prime Minister’s Office.

He has held senior positions in various Government Ministries.

In 2015, he was appointed CEO for the Ministry of Public Enterprises for four-years before being re-appointed again in 2019, for the same term.
