The Legislative Assembly of Tonga convened on Wednesday 10 May and started discussing pending agendas, including Government Annual Reports and Constituency Reports.
Parliament Office stated on 9 May that the House was tentatively scheduled to sit for two-weeks, before the discussion of the proposed national budget from Cabinet.
Parliament’s sitting today is for the MPs to discuss pending agendas from its previous sitting in March including government annual reports.
Annual Constituency Visit Reports are also among the items up for discussion.
The House had been adjourned on 30 March to allow the Lord Speaker Fakafanua and some MPs, including the Cabinet Ministers to attend parliamentary and government meetings overseas.
