Tongan engineers complete hybrid power training [1]

Two engineers from Tonga Power Ltd completed a regional training on Hybrid Power Generation System in Fiji.

Painitu'uua Lie and Finelua Tu'i'onetoa took part in the second and third Regional Training for the Introduction of Hybrid Power Generation Systems (HPGS) from 24-28 April, jointly conducted by Energy Fiji Limited (EFL) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The regional training program allowed them to share the knowledge and experience with participants from different Pacific countries, establishing good personal networks.

Although the Project will be completed soon, JICA is considering a next phase of the project.

The 2022 program was carried out online because of COVID-19.
