Humanitarian practice course for disaster response [1]

Twenty seven participants are taking part this week in a Essentials of Humanitarian course in Nuku’alofa.
Delivered through the Australia Assists program, with additional support from USAID and Rotary Club Melbourne, the course is aimed to provide participants with an understanding of the complexity of the international relief system when responding to disasters and conflict-induced emergencies.
The participants are from Government, civil society and multilateral organisations.
This ia an internationally-recognised six-day Essentials of Humanitarian Practice course, the first time this course has been delivered in Tonga.
