China’s first Special Envoy to Pacific visits Tonga [1]

The first Special Envoy for Pacific Island Countries Affairs of the Chinese Government, HE Mr. Qian Bo visited Tonga last week.

Accompanied by a delegation, he met with the Prime Minister Hon. Hu’akavameiliku at the St George Government Building on 21 April.

The PM congratulated HE Mr. Qian Bo on his recent appointment as first special envoy of the Chinese Government to the Pacific Islands.

“Tonga continues to appreciate the contribution China has offered for the achievement of Tonga’s national development goals through various grant aids that have either been completed or still under construction,” said the PM.
