Climate change education books have been donated by the Australian Government to primary and secondary schools throughout Tonga on 21 April.
The 400 books are for use in their libraries.
“The early readers and more advanced books are designed to help educators, including parents to encourage children to learn about climate change and share knowledge with their community.
“This aims to prompt students to think about the role they can play to strengthen climate and disaster resilience as the future leaders of Tonga,” stated the Australian High Commission.
One of the schools that received their books was Tonga College.
