Tonga Rugby Union welcomes French delegation to Forum [1]

The French Minister for Overseas States Christian Estrossi and a French delegation to the Pacific Forum meeting were welcomed to Tonga by the Tonga Rugby Union at a dinner reception at the Liku'alofa resort last night.
A spokesperson for the Tonga Rugby Union said that because of the overwhelming support for the 'Ikale Tahi Rugby team by the French public while they were in France for the Rugby World Cup, they wanted to show their gratitude by welcoming the minister and his delegation to Tonga.
Christian Estrossi and his delegation were attending the Post Forum Dialogue Partners Plenary session at the Fa'onelua Convention Centre today.
The Minister congratulated Tonga's 'Ikale Tahi for giving them the opportunity to marvel a their talent and their rugby skills during their performances at the RWC.
During the welcome dinner Christian Estrossi presented Hon. Kalaniuvalu with over a dozen French Rugby jerseys.
Among the visitors who accompanied Christian Estrossi were the President of New Caledonia Harold Martin, a Senator from Wallis and Futuna, the Minister of Finance for New Caledonia, and the Director General of the European Commission Stefani Manservisi.
