Ministry of Lands works on improving services and operations [1]

‘Global Surveyors Day’ and ‘World Water Day’ this month were marked in Tonga by the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, who hosted a series of events with the aim of improving their operation and its services to the public.
The Ministry is also running television programs this week from Monday, 20 March to the 25 March 2023.
A two-day retreat for senior officials which was held from 15-16 March 2023.
“The retreat was an opportunity for the Hon. Minister, key stake holders and senior staff to discuss and review the Ministry’s performance and identify areas in its operation and service delivery that needs improvement.”
This was followed with a combined Sunday service on 19 March 2023 for ‘Global Surveyors Day’ and ‘World Water Day’, held at Sia’atoutai Theological College.
Global Surveyors Day highlighted the need to recognize the ground-breakers, pioneers, individuals and the industry in Tonga.
World Water Day is a global campaign that aims to encourage people to take action in their own lives to change the way they use, consume and manage water. This year activities focused on accelerating change to solve the water and sanitation crisis.
“It reaffirms water and sanitation measures are key to poverty reduction, economic growth, and environmental sustainability,” MLNR stated.
