Inter-collegiate sports competition set for April 24-28 [1]

Tonga's annual inter-collegiate sports competition will resume this year, to be held from April 24-28, the organisers confirmed today.

The sports program will open on 24 April 2023 at the Teufaiva Stadium. The sports committee is encouraging all secondary schools to attend and participate this year's sports program.

The last Inter-collegiate sports event was held on 20 April 2021, when Tupou College took top honours with more than 50 gold medals.

The principal of ‘Atele and President of the Inter-collegiate Sports Committee, Sekona Tu'ipulotu, told Matangi Tonga that students are looking forward to the event.

“The students are excited for the sports event, especially the kids that are gifted in the field because this is their chance to showcase their talent,” he said.

This will be the Tonga's 96th Annual Inter-collegiate Athletics competition.
