Petroleum prices increase [1]

Tonga's new petroleum prices for February to March have increased, effective from 20 February, 2023, the Tonga Competent Authority announced.

The wholesale for petrol (PMS) and kerosene (DPK) prices, compared to last month’s petroleum price review, will increase by 12.97 seniti/litre, 3.14 seniti/litre respectively.

Meanwhile diesel (AGO) prices dropped by 1.54 seniti/litre. All price changes include consumption tax.

The Tonga Competent Authority stated that this price change is based on the January 2023 average of published daily Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS) benchmark prices, freight and exchange rate.

They stated that the product prices were mixed and the international prices have substantially increased.
