COVID-19 cases decreasing in Tonga [1]

Tonga recorded only four COVID-19 positive cases last week, said the CEO of the Ministry of Health, Dr Siale ‘Akau’ola.
 
The positive cases reported are on a downward trend as the week before reported 45 cases.

Dr ‘Akau’ola told Matangi Tonga today that, “The positivity rate continues to fall and maintained at low level. The situation is very satisfactory at the moment.”

"For last week there were about 130 tests per day done, or a total of 910 plus tests done for the whole one week period, where only four positives were picked up."

In addition, no new policy change are being planned to be introduced, he said.
