Nelson Siulangapo the 33-year-old man who was arrested and charged in relation to the 124.77grams of methamphetamine seized on Tongatapu in January, is expected to appear at the Magistrate’s Court, on 20 February.

The Magistrate’s Court office listed his case for 20 February, after it was adjourned from 23 January when it was called at the lower court in Fasi. 

Police had earlier reported that on 10 January, the accused from Tatakamotonga was arrested for possession and supply of illicit drugs.

This was after police officers intercepted the accused on a public road between Holonga and Pelehake where they alleged to have found in his vehicle methamphetamine, cannabis, cash and a loaded firearm.

A further search was carried out at his residence in Tatakamotonga where more drugs, cash and drug utensils were allegedly found.

The seizures included 124.77grams of methamphetamine, 68.92 grams of cannabis, $10,310 pa'anga cash, drug utensils, a .22 rife and ammunition and other items.
