“In 2022 there have been a multitude of events worldwide and for us in Tonga we were eyewitnesses to a number of these events...
“This included the arrival of COVID-19 in Tonga, the Hunga-Tonga Hunga-Ha’apai volcanic eruption, which resulted in tsunami waves.”
She also recognised the Tonga Tala Netball Team remained undefeated in a couple of international tournaments.
“Looking at these events, I can only say that God is still firmly in control and is still firmly on his throne. That has given me immoveable hope, after all that we have gone through this year,” said the Princess.
The Prime Minister Hon. Hu'akavameiliku congratulated the students for achieving the end of this academic year, and he announced the start of a National University in 2023.
