Sione Finau Sisifa has been re-appointed as Solicitor General for four-years serving at the Attorney General's office in Nuku'alofa.

The Public Service Commission stated on 8 November, this re-appointment is his third consecutive term as the Solicitor General, effective from his contract signing. 

In consultation with the Attorney General, the Solicitor General is responsible for ensuring effective and appropriate governance across Tonga’s legislative and legal frameworks and for providing Government with high quality legal advice and representation of Government in all civil, lands, family litigation and other matters of law. 

The Solicitor General is also responsible for managing the administrative, operational and broader functions and activities of the Attorney General’s office.

Sisifa is a senior law practitioner with extensive legal skills and experience having continuously served Government, at the Attorney General’s Office for 22-years.
