40 laptops donated for students [1]

Forty laptops were handed over to the Ministry of Education from the Universal Peace Federation [Oceania] in Nuku'alofa on 13 October.
Mr Yutaka Yamada, Chairman of the Universal Peace Federation Oceania and Santosh Neupane, PR Director presented the donation to the CEO for Education, Dr Tangikina Moimoi Steen.
The Ministry thanked the UPFO Organisation, which is based in Australia, for funding the laptops (i3 -Dell) under the Government Laptop Initiative to Form 6 and 7 students of affected areas from the HTHH volcanic eruption and tsunami catastrophe.
“These laptops will provide support of 'quality education' for students. UPFO has been helping Tonga in previous years...this is indeed another blessing for our students' and Tonga that we're forever be grateful of,” stated the Ministry.
Santosh told Matangi Tonga, that after the volcanic eruption they wanted to help support Tonga.
“Tonga is part of our family and with great concern after the natural disasters, we immediately organized a project and we are here today to finally deliver the support."
The UFPO members had also visited the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Tonga, Lord Fakafanua.
