Widespread support

Tonga’s Honorary Consul-General, Louise Waterhouse said that she admired the resilience of the Tongan people after the devastation caused by the volcanic eruption and the tsunami.

She said various donors reached out with donations to the Pilii Tau e Hala, which included twenty decelerators with generators.

Rotary clubs helped to fund Filtration systems for villages.

There was also support before COVID broke out, with donations of masks and RAT tests for the Ministry of Health, along with a hundred hospital beds and 700 sets of bed linen.

A clothing company sent over 40,000 items new clothing.
