Mate Ma’a Tonga gears up in England [1]

The excitement of the Rugby League World Cup is drawing near as Tonga's national rugby league team, Mate Ma'a Tonga gears up for a warm up match on 8 October in England.
The team will meet the French Les Chanticleers around 2:00pm UK time at the Shay Stadium, Halifax. This warm up match is expected to provide both squads with important preparation, before the Rugby Leuge World Cup kicks off.
Tonga will play against the Cook Islands, Wales and Papua New Guinea in the group stages of the World Cup.
On 18 October the Mate Ma'a Tonga has its first match against Papua New Guinea followed by Wales on 24 October at the Totally Wicked Stadium, St Helens.
The team will then play against Cook Islands on 30 October at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough.
Meanwhile, the team has this week been holding training sessions on the field with Coach Kristian Woolf.
A 24-man Mate Ma'a Tonga squad had earlier been announced.
