Jury finds driver guilty of manslaughter [1]

Heneli Saafi 21, was found guilty of manslaughter by a jury of seven at the Nuku'alofa Supreme Court today, August 13.

Heneli was charged with manslaughter by negligence and that in January this year he caused the death of two young people when the bus he drove ran off the road and hit a tree. Mr Justice McElrea said that he would pass his sentence on August 27.
