Titali To’ia (37) is the man charged in the death of Netane Nimo (26) from a road accident on Taufa‘ahau Road, Veitongo on Saturday night, 18 June.

The Magistrate’s Court said the accused had been released on bail with conditions, pending his next court appearance.

He appeared at the lower court last month charged with reckless driving causing death.

Police had earlier alleged that the accident occurred when one car tried to overtake the other, just before midnight.

The driver of the overtaking car was the victim from Vaini, who sustained various injuries to his upper body. He was rushed to Vaiola Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. 

The other driver was the accused.
