Australia’s Qantas to start weekly flights to Tonga [1]

Weekly flights will resume between Tonga and Australia starting on 7 July to September.
Qantas will continue to operate services between Tonga and Australia every Thursday throughout the months of July, August and September, said the Australian High Commission in Nuku’alofa on 30 June.
These flights are operated under Australia’s Pacific Flights Program.
Travelers are advised to ensure they are familiar with the latest entry requirements for Australia and Tonga.
In addition, travelers to Tonga need to register at the Government of Tonga portal prior to booking tickets; https://citizensregistration.gov.to/ [2]
Qantas also advise travelers that before booking and before travel, to check the latest government travel requirements, which may include mandatory health declarations, use of face masks, entry permits, pre-approval and quarantine (possibly at your own expense), or one could be denied entry.
The weekly flights between 7 July and 29 September 2022:
- QF335, departing Sydney, arriving Nuku'alofa.
- QF336, departing Nuku'alofa, arriving Sydney
Meanwhile, Tonga has not announed when its international border will re-open.
