Primary schools to return June 6 [1]

All primary and early childhood school students in Tongatapu, Vava’u and Ha’apai will return to the classroom on Monday, June 6.
The Prime Minister and MInister of Education, Hon. Hu'akavameiliku, confirmed their full return during a press conference today.
He said Cabinet agreed today for all schools, including primary schools and early childhood education to return to classrooms from next week, following advice from the Ministry of Health.
“We already have students in secondary and high schools who had returned to classroom education in the last few weeks and we have seen the Covid test results, which is very encouraging to us.”
All secondary and tertiary schools have returned to the classroom in the past weeks.
Meanwhile, Tonga remains at the orange level for the next two-weeks. The curfew will be the same starting at 12:00am to 5:00am daily, starting from 5.01am on Saturday, June 4.
