King appoints two new Privy Council members [1]

Siosiua ‘Utoikamanu and Dr 'Ana Taufe’ulungaki have been appointed as new members of His Majesty’s Privy Council.
A statement from the Office of the Lord Privy Sea Viliami Malolo confirmed the appointments today, 26 May.
His Majesty the King in Privy Council, in accordance with Clause 50(1) of the Constitution, approved the appointments of Siosiua Tu’italukua Tupou ‘Utoikamanu and Dr. ‘Ana Maui Taufe’ulungaki as Right Honourable Members of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.
At an earlier meeting this month, the King in Privy Council also accepted the retirement of the Rt. Hon. Lord Tupou K.C. as a member of Privy Council and noted his loyal and faithful service rendered to Privy Council and Government.
Meanwhile, the other Privy Council members are
- Rt. Hon. Lord Dalgety Q.C.,
- Rt. Hon. Rev. Semisi Fonua,
- Brigadier Rt. Hon. Lord Fielakepa,
- Rt. Hon. Lord Tangi ‘o Vaonukonuka, and
- Hon. Rev. Dr. Tevita Koloa’ia Havea.
