Couple arrested with meth at Ma’ufanga [1]

A couple were arrested in Ma’ufanga with nine packs containing 0.29 grams of methamphetamine and $300 cash on Thursday, 14 April. Four others were arrested with drugs utensils, at different locations on Tongatapu.
Acting Deputy Commissioner Halatoa Taufa said today, a man (57) and woman (49) were arrested at their residence, with nine packs of methamphetamine (0.29 grams), $300 pa’anga, over 300 unused packs and drug utensils.
Arrests at Ha'utu and Lapaha
Earlier, on Tuesday 12 April, Police conducted a search warrant at a Ha’utu residence for stolen property and arrested a 38-year-old man with drug utensils.
In addition, a 21-year-old Kolonga man and two women in their thirties were also arrested in Lapaha for breaching curfew and possession of drug utensils, on 15 April.
The offenders are due to appear in court at a later date.
