A total of 145 people were repatriated from Fiji and Vanuatu, arriving in Tonga on March 10.

The Ministry of Heath confirmed today that 138 passengers arrived on a Fiji Airways flight from Nadi, while, seven passengers came on Air Vanuatu from Port Vila.

There are now a total of 348 passengers repatriated to Tonga in four flights just this week.

On March 9, 143 passengers arrived from New Zealand and 60 passengers from Australia.

They are currently being quarantined at Tanoa Hotel in Nuku'alofa and Kupesi Hotel in Fua’amotu. Some are in home quarantine.

Meanwhile, the Samoa flight was postponed as the Samoan Government reviews Tonga’s request for the repatriation fight from there to Tonga.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is reported to be liaising with the Government of Samoa on the request.
