Five cases for Court of Appeal starting on July 17 [1]

Tonga's Court of Appeal will start its 2007 session at the Nuku'alofa Supreme Court on July 17.
The Appeal judges for this year's hearing will be, Chief Justice Anthony Ford, Mr Justice James Burchett, Mr Justice Peter Salmon and Mr Justice Moore.
During the one-week hearing the four appeal judges will preside over five appeal cases, including three civil and two criminal cases.
The three civil cases consist of an appeal by the Rainbow Trading Co. Ltd. and Maolin & Qiang against a decision against them by the former Chief Justice of Tonga, Chief Justice Robin Webster. There is also an appeal against a decision by Chief Justice Anthony Ford over a case between Heimuli and the Kingdom of Tonga. The third civil case is against a decision by Justice Laurenson over a case between the Pacific Royale Hotel and Vakalahi.
The two criminal appeal cases are an appeal against a decision by Chief Justice Ford over a case between Tui'ile'ila v Crown, and the second case is an appeal against a decision by Justice Laurenson over a case between Tui v Crown.
The Court of Appeal judgements will be delivered on Friday July 20.
